Portsunlight Village & Liverpool

In 1888, on the banks of the River Mersey, William Lever created Port Sunlight, a model village for his soap factory workers. Named after Lever Brothers’ famous Sunlight Soap, the village was designed with beauty and community in mind. Over 30 architects contributed to the project, creating varied housing, picturesque landscapes, and a unique emphasis on style and comfort.

On this trip, you’ll enjoy a guided tour of Port Sunlight Village, uncovering its fascinating history and admiring houses and buildings that showcase nearly every period of British architecture. You’ll also visit the Lady Lever Art Gallery, a stunning building that houses one of the UK’s finest collections of fine and decorative art.

In the afternoon, we’ll travel on to Liverpool, giving you the chance to explore the city’s vibrant culture, shops, and iconic waterfront.
