An introduction to Bakewell for the Market & Buxton
Monday in Bakewell means Market Day and the town bustles with cafes, pubs, delis and shops,all benefiting from the extra footfall the market attracts. Come along and shop on this traditional market where you can find something for everyone with the diverse range of products on the stalls located on Market Street and Granby Road in the heart of Bakewell's Town Centre. There's around 140 stalls and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. As the only market in the Peak District National Park, it attracts not only local people but coach parties and tourists from all over, including those from overseas.
We will be visiting the charming streets of Bakewell and it's local market before taking a short drive to Buxton where the historic architecture is unveiled.
