Where to Watch Wimbledon
If you’ve missed out on tickets but don’t want to miss out on the action, there are numerous spots where you can watch the world’s best tennis players battle it out in the capital this year.
Beyond Murray Mound, there’ll be some of the best Wimbledon Big Screens in London at Canary Wharf as part of their summer screens programme. London screenings can also be found at Covent Garden, The Piazza in Wimbledon, and the otherwise private Portman Square Garden in Marylebone! Head down to London for the tennis, grab a Pimms, pick up a deck chair, and feel like you’re sitting on centre court with the stars.
You can also find plenty of Wimbledon experiences outside of the tennis capital. Visit the Brewery Quarter in Cheltenham to catch a Wimbledon big screen within this wonderful city. Usually well known for its horse racing, it’s the perfect spot for a beer and a mini-Wimbledon experience! Cambridge will also be organising open-air Wimbledon screenings, and in the North there’ll be Wimbledon big screens in Manchester, Newcastle, and more. Our top picks are First Street and Screen on the Green.
Where to Watch T20 Cricket, The Olympic Games & The British Grand Prix Live
Many of the venues that’ll be bringing us all that Wimbledon action will also be showing the T20 cricket, the Paris Olympic Games, and even the 2024 British Grand Prix on their big screens!
Watch the cricket, Formula 1 or Olympics live in London, and for free, at Canada Square in Canary Wharf. All the sporting action you could wish for will be shown on some of the biggest and longest-running screens in the capital. And it's just a step away from a range of refreshments, including summery alfresco bars, vibrant restaurants, and of course, that all-important Pimm's stand.
Marylebone’s popular ‘Summer in the Square’ is hosting a ‘Games In The Garden’ experience for the Paris Olympics. You’re bound to have a memorable time watching the Olympics within the beautiful greenery of Portman Square Garden.
If the north is more your style, First Street in Manchester and ‘Screen on the Green’ in Newcastle will be screening the Olympics, Tour de France and much more. Large screens take over the squares, broadcasting various live sports events and matches. And of course there will be plenty of tasty food and drink available too.
Need a Lift There?
We've missed the thrill of watching live sporting events with a crowd, enjoying the sun and a cold beer. It’s so close you can almost taste it.
So whether you're planning a trip especially for your event of choice or making it part of a wider group getaway, gather your friends and family and book a coach to get you there in style.
