The gardens are home to a lovely cafe, play area, bowls green, gift shop and even an aviary, making a trip to this special place that little bit more exciting for nature lovers and enthusiasts. Stroll along the Iron Pier

Similarly to the botanic gardens, the Iron Pier in Southport has been open since the late 1800s, and is the longest iron pier in the country. The pier is a wonderful place to catch the sunset, so maybe the perfect place to enjoy an ice cream at the end of your day. The pier’s pavilion is full of arcade games and slot machines, and has even been the subject of an extensive refurbishment so no better time to visit it than 2024!
