With every New Year comes a resolution. Many may aim to exercise more, learn a new skill, or save money. But when it comes to aiming to minimise our impact on the environment in 2022, then opting for environmentally friendly ways of getting around is a good start.
The past couple of years have proved that minimised congestion has an immediate, positive effect on the environment. During the first lockdown back in 2020, months of empty roads meant that air pollution fell by up to 50% in London. As a result of businesses, shops and leisure activities opening back up however, rate of congestion began to creep up again. So what can be done about it? A 53-seater coach can replace up to 13 four-seater cars on the road, so switching up your travel habits will not only minimise traffic on the road, but also decrease our carbon footprint and can lead to a positive change in the wider world, if only a little.
